MoiApp digitises moi — the South Indian custom of gifting money at weddings and family functions. Hosts create an event, guests gift online or in cash, and every contribution lands in one live, searchable record instead of a handwritten notebook.

The problem
At a South Indian wedding, hundreds of guests hand over cash gifts that are recorded by hand in a notebook. Totals are slow to reconcile, entries get lost, and families have no reliable history of what was given and received — which matters, because moi is reciprocal across generations.
The solution
A mobile-first platform where the host creates an event, shares a QR code or WhatsApp invite, and guests gift through UPI or card. Cash gifts are confirmed by QR at the venue, so online and offline money end up in the same live ledger.

Guests gift through an integrated payment gateway from a link or QR code — no app install required.
QR-confirmed cash
Cash handed over at the venue is confirmed by scanning a QR code, so it enters the same record as online gifts.

The host sees collections in real time; delegated cash managers see only what they handled.
Moi ledger
A family-level history of gifts given and received across events, so reciprocity is never guesswork.
Bilingual by design
Tamil and English throughout, switchable at any time, built for families who think in both.
WhatsApp-native sharing
Invitations and summaries travel through the channel guests already use.
